Skills

As my resume reel demonstrates, I excel as a live storyteller but do equally solid work writing and producing
packages. I have extensive experience breaking down complicated information through demonstrative storytelling.
I speak Persian-Farsi and Assyrian as well as a fair amount of Spanish – enough that I have been able to bring our viewers stories and viewpoints that other reporters have not.

Professional Experience

Reporter, KCRA-3 (NBC), Sacramento, CA
August 2006 to Present

I have covered some of the biggest stories in California, including the devastating wildfires of 2007 in Southern California, the disappearance of an eight-year-old girl who was killed by a Sunday school teacher, Proposition 8
(the initiative that banned gay marriage,) and the debate over illegal immigration, re-ignited here by the recent
legislation in Arizona. I routinely turn packages, but also do as many as 20 live shots a day at times, for KCRA
and our two San Francisco partners, KNTV and KTVU.
